From August 4 to 11, 2025, employees of the State Communal Enterprise “Association of Museums of the City of Shymkent” made a business trip to the city of Semey to participate in cultural events dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of Abai Kunanbayev.
During the trip, the ethnographic exhibition “Shezhireli Shymkent” was organized, showcasing the historical and cultural heritage of the city of Shymkent, national traditions, and examples of folk decorative and applied art.
The main purpose of the event was to promote Abai’s legacy, strengthen the spiritual unity of the people, and enhance cultural cooperation between regions. The residents and guests of Semey showed great interest in the exhibition and gave positive feedback.
As a result of the trip, a significant contribution was made to the expansion of cultural ties and the promotion of national values.
