Today, the Shymkent City Museum Association held its regular Scientific Council meeting for the second quarter of 2026.
During the meeting, members discussed key issues related to collection management, preservation, and regulatory and methodological activities. Particular attention was given to the thematic and chronological re-examination of museum collections, the improvement of collection registration and preservation procedures, and the revision of internal methodological documentation.
The agenda also included the review of the concept of the Hakim Abai Museum. Council members discussed the updated museum concept, the thematic and exhibition plan, and proposals aimed at enhancing the content of the museum’s permanent exhibition.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the recommendations and opinions of the Scientific Council members were considered, and appropriate decisions were adopted on all agenda items.
