At the “Hakim Abai” Museum of the Shymkent City Museums Association, a traveling exhibition titled “Harmony of History and Word” organized by the Almaty Region Museums Association was officially opened. A special guided tour was held for the participants.
During the event, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture, Language Development and Archives of Shymkent City, Ms. M. Ondassynova, and Director of the Almaty Region Museums Association, Mr. T. Kelimbetov, delivered congratulatory remarks and took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The exhibition aims to strengthen cultural ties between Shymkent City and Almaty Region, promote the development of museum work, and enhance creative cooperation.
The exposition features valuable exhibits related to the life and creative work of prominent figures of Kazakh spiritual culture. Among them are memorabilia reflecting the lives of poets Suyinbai Aronuly and Umbetali Karibaev, marking the 200th anniversary of their birth, as well as personal belongings and outerwear of Dinmukhamed Akhmetuly Kunaev.
One of the highlights of the exhibition is a special section dedicated to the renowned poet Mukagali Makataev, showcasing his personal items, manuscripts, translations, and clothing worn by the poet himself.
The main purpose of the exhibition is to promote the spiritual and cultural values carefully preserved by our ancestors for centuries, to foster respect for national heritage among the youth, and to present the world of poetry from a new perspective through the museum’s rich collection of exhibits.
