The “Shym qala” Historical and Cultural Complex welcomed international guests. The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium and representatives of the Embassy of Georgia visited the complex to learn about the history of the ancient city, its archaeological artifacts, and historical sites.
During the visit, the guests were introduced to the stages of the formation of medieval Shymkent, the city’s defense system, as well as the lifestyle and cultural heritage of its inhabitants. In addition, they were presented with the structure of the ancient settlement, the results of archaeological excavations, and the scientific significance of the historical layers discovered within the complex.
Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed the development of cultural and humanitarian ties, the preservation of historical and cultural heritage, and the strengthening of international cooperation.
This visit became an important step toward deepening bilateral cultural cooperation and promoting national historical heritage at the international level.
